COURSE DESCRIPTION
LOW-LIGHT ACTIVE THREAT RESPONSE
The Allegiance Defense Solutions Low-Light Active Threat Response Course offers specialized training informed by extensive law enforcement experience. This course provides a comprehensive approach to effectively handling active threat scenarios (active shooter, home defense, and crimes in progress) using proven strategies and techniques in low-light conditions.
***Note: This course builds on the principles taught in the Active Threat Response Course, with a focus on adapting these skills to low-light environments. It is often offered as an add-on to these courses and may be scheduled in conjunction with or shortly after.***
Key Focus Areas:
- Singleton based tactics
- Critical thinking for managing active threats
- Identification, communication, use of force, and tactical emergency casualty care
- Practical, actionable skills tailored to real-world scenarios
Participants will benefit from training that reflects current municipal, state, and federal law enforcement standards, ensuring up-to-date response techniques and procedures. Students will develop enhanced situational awareness and decision-making skills under pressure, guided by seasoned professionals with deep expertise in active threat management.
Required Equipment:
- Tactical/handheld flashlight with extra batteries
- Eye protection (tinted/clear lenses)
- Headlamp with white/red light options and extra batteries
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Hydrating drinks, food/snacks
Provided Equipment:
- Training blade and sheath (Blue ADS, AmTac, or Headhunter Blade)
- Training pistol and holster (Blue G19 with Blackpoint Tactical Holster)
- Training tourniquet (Blue Aero Health Rapid Stop TQ)
- Glock 19x airsoft pistol and magazine
- ADS/HSGI Lo-V pistol mag pouch
Recommended Equipment:
- Individual first aid kit (TCCC/TECC)
- Training pistol, blade, and tourniquet matching your live gear
- Stowable/packable chair
- Sunblock, bug spray, and other comfort items
- Note-taking materials
